Profitable Farming Systems is a profit, operations and lifestyle system for dairy and beef cattle farmers. After observing and analysing current operations and cattle farming methods, we offer solutions that will help farmers make their operations profitable (making money), sustainable (enabling long term operations and growth) and dramatically improve their lifestyle (spending less time with the cattle) by introducing Profitable Cattle Farming operations.
After decades of experience gained through hands-on research and evaluation of farming systems in many Countries, Worldwide, we clearly understand the following: Sustainable and profitable farming can only be designed around economically achievable production levels, i.e. producing to the level which is economically possible within your enterprise. Every operation’s resources are unique to that operation therefore the ‘one solution fits all’ approach will not and does not work.
The modern production system (based on heavy supplemental feeding, constant supervision, regular veterinary visits, antibiotics, poisonous sprays, etc.) is founded on what could be if, if and if and followed by but, but and but! You have no fallback position in the modern farming system.
With Profitable Farming Systems your bottom line is our total focus.
The modern system of ‘buying’ production is antagonistic to your sustainable profit levels. Your profit margin has little to do with production. Your profit margin it has a lot to do with your cost of production. Profit is about margin not production.
At Profitable Farming Systems we are about productivity. Our Focus – Your Profit.
Decades of actual industry participation has provided Profitable Farming Systems the opportunity to identify, evaluate and coordinate a worldwide network of elite hands-on sustainable and profitable agriculture practitioners.
Practical experience and know-how form the firm foundations of the information resource you are tapping into when you are working with Profitable Farming Systems.

Here are seven major areas of focus for Profitable Farming Systems™:
- The most important organism on your farm is your cow. Her design and level of efficiency (economic functionality) is the key to your profit levels.
- Having your soils naturally healthy and productive is imperative for supporting healthy and productive cows.
- Releasing the synergy available to your enterprise when your soils and cows work in unison.
- L.P.E.M.P. – Less Production Equals More Profit for you. Producing to economically achievable levels means more profit for you and fewer operational expenses. Less for others and more for you.
- Managing your cost of production (COP) will increase your profit levels and Profitable Farming Systems™ are focused on limiting your costs to maximize your revenues.
- Profitable and sustainable farming is only possible when farming profitable and sustainable cows in a profitable and sustainable system.
- Proper systematic culling equals real genetic progress, meaning we focus on the cows which can provide the best value and greatest return to you and eliminate those that cannot, so your herd is effective and efficient and meets your profit requirements.
Schedule a free phone consultation to discuss how the Profitable Farming Systems™ will meet your operational goals. Then we’ll determine the most convenient date and time for an on-site visit for a full Profitable Farming Systems™ General Enterprise Analysis and Production Assessment.
Arranging your initial on Farm Consultation: After your free phone consultation and you deciding you want to move forward, we will arrange your initial On Farm consultation – General Enterprise Analysis and Production Assessment. Depending on your enterprise size you should allow at least 6 hours for this consultation. When a date has been finalized, you will be sent an Enterprise Information Form which you will be required to complete with above information and a fee Agreement.
Visiting your Operation: A day will be required where time must be available for discussion and Herd and Enterprise inspection. It is critically important that the majority of family members and staff involved in your operation are present, especially your partner. Have on hand any Soil and Grass Tissue analysis results which you have performed.
Following a General Enterprise Analysis and Production Assessment a detailed analysis will be performed combining the information gathered and the information provided in the pre-visit questionnaire (Enterprise Information Form). The culmination of the results of the on-site visit and this information will be summarised into a detailed report outlining the key strategic undertakings and timeframes required to begin your conversion to profitable and sustainable farming using the Profitable Farming Systems™.
